Description

I was asked the question if we could see the stars in Andromeda in a mosaic of M31 that I created using my 5" Televue refractor.   I answered that I didn't know - they certainly looked like stars - particularly within NGC206, but I had repeatedly been told that "all the stars you can see are in the Milky Way" , but was that true for imaging?  To "resolve" the question, I went to NGC206 with the same camera, except using my Planewave CDK12.5.  Apparently, you can also visually resolve the stars in NGC206 above 200x, as the stars are giant blue stars >25 solar mass.   So the answer was yes, and even way more stars with a larger scope - even from your back-yard.
